Joey Ramone is the stage name for the man who’s birth name is Jeffrey Ross Hyman. Ramone was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995. For more than six years Ramone fought the cancer, but in 2001 he had died from complications from lymphoma. He was 49 years old. Ramone was an American musician. He was the lead singer for the punk rock band the Ramones. The Ramones was founded in 1974 and was quite influential in the music industry. The style of music the band played as well as their story of being three friends from Queens had paved the way for and gave inspiration to many other musicians.
The co-founder, along with Bill Gates, of Microsoft was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in 1983, the same year that he left Microsoft. His cancer had gone into remission and approximately 25 years later, in 2009, Allen was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. This time it was a form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He is the owner of the Seattle Seahawks, a professional football team in the National Football League, and the Portland Trail Blazers, a professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association. He is also a partial owner of the Seattle Sounders FC a soccer team in the Major Soccer League.
