As we get older, we learn to understand our own bodies better through constant exploration. A woman’s private parts may seem complex, because in some ways, it is. It’s often misrepresented in the media, which is a huge reason why the vagina and vaginal area is repeatedly misunderstood.
For example, we often see films and TV shows in which women orgasm within a few seconds of sexual intercourse, but the truth is, not all women can do so through penetration.
In fact, one source says 75% of women need stimulation of the clitoris, a button-like sex organ, to climax. This ‘joy button’ is home to 8,000 nerve endings compared to about 4,000 in the penis and can be found near the top of the labia.
